  1. They are not made of plastic … They are Black Baccara Roses and do not exist in nature as such, but nevertheless have been created in laboratories. So, that’s real!

  2. @BoobyLady: I don’t doubt roses like these really exist. I just noticed the frayed edges of the petals/leaves in *this* particular photo and I know organic flowers don’t shred like that. That only happens when they’re made of some sort of plastic weave.

  3. @Lisbeth: The leaves of rose bushes do have serrated edges, but these look like they are silk because they have a matte finish.
