1. No. People who write on the walls of bathrooms know their work is being read by others. Thus, it is not purest form of art. The purest form of art would be a poem in a private diary, or an ancient cave drawing.

  2. it wasn’t about being seen or not, but being criticized or financially rewarding to the author/s. since many “private” diaries are sold at auctions for stupid amounts of cash, this makes the cave drawing the purest, since they can’t be sold…yet!

  3. however, the author of a private diary is not aware that it will ever be sold. knowing your work is going to be viewed changes the mindset of its creator.
